There are not many guest houses on Phu Quy – but there are some (about 3). Most recommended is staying with Pham Thi Han in her place called “Minh Tan“. This is located around 300 meters from the harbour – straight up the road, over the crossroads you will find it on the right – if she doesn’t find you first and pick you up when the boat arrives.
She will most definitely have room but if you want to call in advance: 084-62769634 or 084-907329006. Be warned: she cannot speak English so have a Vietnamese speaker call for you. I wouldn’t expect her to read her e-mail (hontranh@gmail.com) – especially not if it’s in English.
The room price was VND 100000 as of January 2010 (single or double room).
