There is no public transport on the island and about one car (no taxis). Everyone has a motorbike and the best way for you to get around is to hire a motorbike for the length of your stay. Find a guy renting out motorbikes near the harbour – about 40 meters up the street on the right (he doesn’t have a sign but if he’s there you will hear him).
The cost for renting a motorbike for one full day is VND 80000 without fuel. If you want to rent it from mid-day, expect to pay VND 60000 or VND 40000 from 15:00 to sunset.
You will get an easy to drive verhicle with a nearly empty tank. Take the motorbike up the road until you have to choose between left or right – go left and keep going to find the petrol station not too far away on the right side of the road. They will fill the tank for you.
